I am not going to lie. I’m not the type of person that opens up a book and read for fun. I’m actually the active type that plays outside until sunset. However, when a good book catches my eye, I take the time to sit down and explore it. To me, reading is a way to connect with my inner child. I remembered when I was young I loved playing outside by myself. Well, it wasn’t because I didn’t have any friends, but because I was having fun in my own little world! I would read novels and imagine myself to be the main character. I’ll then run outside to reenact everything and I might have even spiced it up with some of my own imagination. Reading nowadays reminds me of how much of a kid I still am. It also reminded of how weird I was as I was growing up, but most importantly it reminded me of how much I miss being a kid. Those carefree days where you could do anything you wanted without any criticism or judgment. I miss being a child so bad, especially knowing that college is going to be over soon. You could say that reading is my time machine to my childhood.

I definitely miss being a kid, no worries in the world except for what cartoons to watch on TV. We should all let our inner-child out sometimes though!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture though, I'll go get Doc Brown and his flux capacitor :)
(Excuse the cheap Back to the Future reference)
I do the same thing! I always like to somehow change up the story a little bit to fit my own liking. It's funner that way :)
