The Perfect Place

Walt Disney World, the place where everyone should go at least once. The resort is filled with amazing amusement park rides, and Disney characters that you may have loved when you were a child. Disney is a place for family and friends to come together and have fun, and really escape from the stress and hardships that people experience in their everyday lives. Disney World became a symbol that represented America and it is a big part of our culture today. When people think of Disney, they may think of Mickey Mouse or Goofy, however that is only one aspect of it. Disney World has sank into our culture. It has became the largest and most visited recreation site in the world for families and it has became the ideal vacation spot for people not only in America but all over the world. Walt Disney has done a perfect job of creating themes for its resort. Each section of the park has its own unique qualities and attractions. The Animal Kingdom was by far my favorite theme park. Not only does it offer  amusement park rides, but people can go on Safari expedition rides where they can watch animals in their habitats. Disney World is a significantly essential place to me because it represented all the memories I shared with my family and none other memories could be as important as that.

  1. Disney World! You have written about my favorite place. (My fiance proposed at Disney World! I'm honeymooning at the Grand Floridian!) This blog is off to a great start. I wonder if it might be helpful to focus on a specific section of Disney World that you think is culturally significant to you. For example, my fiance proposed at Cinderella's Fountain. I have heard that it's actually a popular place to propose. I always see children taking photos there. People throw coins in. Generations of kids have grown up at that fountain. Maybe there's a section that specifically means something to you? The Tiki Room was recently renovated, destroying all my beloved childhood memories of the ride. Some of the old rides represent a history of animatronics/story telling that might be lost permanently if the ride would be remodeled.

  2. I was thinking the same thing as Faith-Anne. You mention at the end that Animal Kingdom is your favorite. Maybe you should talk about how Animal Kingdom is significant to you and the culture. Maybe even if there are animals in there that are becoming extinct, you could talk of the impact that would have. Just some ideas :)

  3. Really good topic choice Juanito. Perhaps you could develop more of a thesis, a main argument for Disney World. You make a lot of great points about why it is significant. Maybe fix up some of the wording and grammar, and you'll have a great piece. :)

  4. Disney is definitely a great place to choose! I am also very jealous that you got proposed at the Cinderella's Fountain! Maybe add some more history about Disney itself to have a more affective essay.
